Osu Mantse Notse Nii Nortey Owuo IV Donates Science Laboratory Equipment To Klottey Korley Cluster Of Schools

Paramount Chief of Osu, His Royal Majesty, Notse Nii Nortey Owuo IV has donated science laboratory equipment to Klottey Korley Cluster of Schools to enhance Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education in the municipality.

The equipment which were donated to the Klottey Korley Municipal Education Directorate included Mortar and Pestle, Crystallizing Dish, Prepared Microscope, Safety goggles, Plastic graduated, Mimi project, Science magnet, Spatula, Crystallizing dish, Burette, Magnifier and Test strips

They also included Tongs, Microscope, Glass Petri dish, Reagent bottles, Stopwatch, Plastic syringes, Wire gauze, Glass sticks and Robotics kits.

Speaking at a brief ceremony, His Royal Majesty, Notse Nii Nortey Owuo IV stressed on the importance of STEM education as a key driver towards Ghana's development as is being done in most developed countries across the world.

He also added that to ensure effective STEM education, there is the need for a shift from just focusing on theories to providing opportunities for more practicals and hands-on training hence his decision to provide science laboratory equipment to aid teaching and learning in the Municipality.

Korle Klottey Municipal Director of Education Mrs. Joyce Osae-Apenteng also expressed gratitude to the paramount Chief of Osu and added this would help improve STEM education in schools in the Municipality which will, in turn, contribute positively to the development of Ghana.
