The Chief Psychiatrist of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Akwasi Osei, has appealed to President Mahama as a matter of urgency, to establish the Mental Health Board as provided in the Mental Health Act.
This, he said, is the only way they can start the operationalization of major provisions in the Act.
Speaking to Radio Ghana, Dr. Osei said setting up the board is not only a constitutional duty provision which must be fulfilled but also, a body that will strive the whole process in terms of raising funds and other vital services.
