Over three hundred people living within Adjiringanor and its surrounding areas in Accra on Saturday 26th September 2015 received free medical care as part of a medical outreach programme organised by the Rotary Club of Accra East Legon.
The beneficiaries, majority being the aged and children, were screened for various ailments which included malaria, hypertension, diabetes, eye problems, hepatitis B, HIV, and were provided with drugs.
According to Mr Harris Hammond, the President elect of Rotary Club of Accra East Legon, the gesture is in line with Rotary Internationals agenda of reaching out to the vulnerable in society.
This is the third time we are doing this and hope to do it bigger and better in subsequent years.
Mr Hammond said his outfit organized the medical screening in association with Vodafone Ghana and Dannex Pharmaceuticals who donated the drugs at no cost.
