More than 5,000 people have died of Covid-19 related deaths in Africa.
According the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (AfricaCDC) some 5,071 Covid-19 patients have succumbed to the infection.
The AfricaCDC in a tweet on June 7, indicated that 184,333 Covid-19 cases have been recorded in 54 Africa Union Member States.
Also, 81,780 people have recovered from the infection.
The tweet said, “As of 7 June 2020, 6 pm East Africa Time,
54 African Union Member States reporting 184,333 cases, 5,071 deaths, and 81,780 recoveries.”
