Mr Solomon Asiedu, Sekyere West Municipal Coordinating Director, has called on heads of departments to show more commitment to duty and work in unity to quicken the pace of development of the municipality.
Poor work ethics, indifference and lackadaisical attitude, he said, were factors that undermined productivity and growth and should therefore be avoided.
Mr Asiedu was interacting with the heads at a meeting at Asante-Mampong on Thursday.
Mr Asiedu spoke of plans to begin numbering of the assembly’s bungalows and to ensure that the accommodation problems facing some of its staff were addressed.
He suggested to them to form an association to foster unity and social welfare.
Mr Idrisu Abdulai, Municipal Police Commander, informed the meeting that the police was working tirelessly to curb armed robbery and other criminal activities in the area.
He said they needed more vehicles and logistics to enable them to effectively fight crime.
