A fire which began at the premises of the "Airline House" at the Kotoka International Airport, on Tuesday, was put out by the Rescue and Fire Fighting Service of the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL).
A team from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) also assisted in quenching the fire.
GACL officials told the Ghana News Agency that at about 2025 hours on Tuesday, smoke was spotted coming out of the Airline House, which accommodates the Ghana Commercial Bank and some offices.
The officials said there was an immediate response from the Rescue and Fire Fighting Service of the GACL and with the assistance of a team from the GNFS, the fire was brought under control by 2116 hours.
The main airport terminal building was how ever not affected by the fire.
No injuries or serious damage have since been recorded, whilst investigations into the incident continue.
