Mr. Kenneth Wood, former Supervising Chief Editor of the Ghana News Agency, who passed away on October 20, will be laid to rest at the Osu cemetery on November 20, according to family sources.
Mr. Wood, 71, who passed away in a London Hospital, will lie in state at his residence at Asylum Down from 0600-0800 hours on November 20.
Pre-burial, burial and thanksgiving service will be held at Holy Trinity Cathedral in Accra at 0900 hours.
Final funeral rites will be held at the precincts of the Cathedral after the burial.
Mr. Wood joined the GNA in March, 1961 as a Junior Reporter and rose through the ranks to become Supervising Chief Editor.
He retired in February, 2000.
He was also the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Elections Officer for a long time.
