The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) on Thursday reminded employers of non-Ghanaian citizens to submit their annual returns on the status of their employees by the January 14, 2010.
A statement from GIS said the returns should be submitted to the nearest Immigration Office, and that the information provided must include the full name of employee; nationality; position held; date of employment; number of years resident in Ghana and date of expiry of Resident Permit.
Other information required are whether the employee is on quota or work permit; business address and telephone number as well as physical location/address of the company/organization.
"Employers are to note that failure to comply with this directive would attract sanctions in accordance with the Immigration Laws of Ghana," the statement said.
