The President of Ghana, John Evans Atta Mills has appointed Mr. Sulley Amadu as the Deputy Chairman of the Electoral Commission.
Mr. Sulley Amadu, the Director of Research Monitoring and Evaluation of the electoral commission was appointed after the President's consultation with the Council of State.
A statement signed by secretary to the President, J K Bebaako Mensah said Mr. Amadu replaces Mr.David Kanga who proceeded on compulsory retirement with effect April 29.
His appointment takes effect from May 2, 2012.
