The Ghana Armed Forces together with other security agencies will on Thursday embark on a route march in all regional capitals across the country.
The purpose of the route march is for the officers to familiarize with members of the public and also to acknowledge their contributions to the peaceful elections.
In an interview with Citi News, the Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Armed Forces, Colonel Mbawine Atintande explained that the personnel have worked very hard and it is therefore prudent for them to embark on the exercise.
“We think that it is good for us to pat us in the back and it’s good for us to show ourselves to the public…At the end of the walk, we will have our leaders address us and then we would also just do some dancing because there will be a lot of music there.”
He added saying, “I think that the time has come for Ghana to look at us as normal human beings and they shouldn’t be afraid of us.”
