DCE's and Municipal Chief Executives are meeting at the Local Government Institute at Madina for a three day orientation course aimed at sharpening their skills to deepen the Local Governance system.
The course is also to enable the Chief Executives to fast-track development in the rural areas.
Radio Ghana sought the impressions of three of the DCE's to know how they feel about the content of the training.
First, the Municipal Chief Executive of Abokobi John Quao Sackey said the orientation will refresh and sharpen the skills of the participants.
Meanwhile, the DCE of Mamprugu Waduri, Maxwell Antomah Mahama said the orientation is a great eye opener.
He said it will influence his interaction with his constituents towards development planning and described the course as very useful.
The DCE of East Gonja District, Mohammed Aminu Lukumanu said the orientation is a critical and important refresher for the new DCE's.
According to him, it will arm them to appreciate best practices and the priorities of the Government.
