One more person has been arrested in connection with the death of the Nkwanta South District Chief Executive, Mr Peter Kenyenso.
Initially, two persons were arrested but one of them was released after initial interrogation by personnel of the Homicide Unit of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana police.
The latest arrest brings to nine the number of persons so far arrested following the incident last Monday night.
The Regional Police Commander, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP), Mr Peterkin Gyinae, gave the update to the Daily Graphic yesterday.
He said there was an uneasy calm in the area and added that the security services were in control of the situation.
Mr Kenyenso was last Monday shot dead by unknown assailants at the forecourt of his residence.
He had returned from town and was getting out his car when he was shot.
