President John Dramani Mahama’s latest Ministerial appointees, Alex Segbefia and Peter Anarfi Mensah would face the Parliamentary Appointment Committee on Monday.
Segbefia who was a Deputy Minister for Defence has been promoted and nominated as Minister of Health to replace Kwaku Agyemang Mensah who has been shifted to the Water Resources, Works and Housing Ministry.
Peter Anarfi Mensah on his part, a headmaster of the Tepa Senior High School goes to the Ashanti Region to replace Samuel Sarpong who was sacked together with his Deputy, Joseph Yammin in March by the President.
The two new appointees are to be scrutinized by Parliament before their appointments could be approved.
Other new appointees in the persons of the Member of Parliament (MP) for Juabeso, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, as Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Samuel Yaw Adusei as deputy for Water Resources, Works and Housing and Kenneth Gilbert Adjei as Deputy for Defence are also to face the committee later on.
The new appointments were announced by the Presidency on March 14, 2015.
