The Atuabo Gas processing plant is scheduled to go off between today 20th April, 2015 and Thursday April 30, 2015 for maintenance works.
This was released in a statement by the Chief Executive of the Ghana Gas Company Dr. George Sipa Yankey and corroborated by another statement by the Volta River Authority.
The VRA however gives the assurance it has adequate Light Crude Oil in stock to operate the plants at Aboadze during the period. “Accordingly, the interruption in gas supply will not affect the operations of power generation at Aboadze”, the VRA assures.
Already, the country has been having power deficits resulting in a drastic load shedding regime that has many citizens especially those in Accra and Kumasi unsure of the implications of further shut downs of power generators or any accessory of sorts.
