An aspiring parliamentary candidate for Cape Coast North, Kobby Acheampong has pledged to revamp the falling standard of education in Cape Coast North constituency if given the nod to serve the people in the area as their Member of Parliament.
He again promised to improve the health system in the area by constructing more Community Health and Planning Service compound in the constituency to help the inhabitants get access to quality healthcare delivery.
The parliamentary hopeful made this promise when he stormed the offices of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Cape Coast to submit his form to contest the party’s upcoming parliamentary primaries slated for November 7.
According to the aspiring parliamentary candidate, Cape Coast North needs a new voice to address the health system and education, considering the fact that the area has a University.
He appealed to the delegates to vote for him massively come November 7 to enable him achieve his aim to transform Cape Coast as well as to improve the education and healthcare delivery in the constituency.
Mr. Acheampong who doubles as the Director of Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications observed that improving education in the area needs everybody on board.
He said he will bring teachers, parents, opinion leaders and chiefs on board to help curb the falling standard of education in Cape Coast North.
He again promised to make sure that the inhabitants within the constituency take advantage of the University and upgrade themselves.
Mr. Acheampong expressed sadness about rumors circulating in the area that he is new and none of the people in the area do recognize him as the native of Cape Coast and assured that he is a true son of Cape Coast North.
“There is a reason why they claim they don’t know me because I keep a very low profile when I visit my hometown, I am not like other government officials who travel around with drivers and bodyguards because I drive myself and come quietly that’s why they don’t know me, but most of the people in the area know me very well,” he hinted.
