Former National Security Coordinator Brigadier General Joseph Nunoo-Mensah has revealed that were he to be president, he would have committed murder in the incident at the Abelenkpe branch of Marwako Fast Food where Evelyn Boakye, a Ghanaian worker there, had her face dipped into pepper paste by her Lebanese supervisor Jihad Chaaban.
Evelyn alleged that Jihad forcefully dipped her face into a paste of pepper she had blended at the restaurant with the excuse that she was destroying the eatery’s blender.
She also said Jihad had her locked up in seclusion for several hours and threatened to sack any staff that blew the lid on him. The Accra Regional Police Command is currently investigating the matter.
Meanwhile, Mr Chaaban has apologised to Evelyn, saying: “I wish personally to sincerely apologise to you for the incident on the night of 26 February 2017 at our Abelenkpe place of work.
“True to God, all I sought to do was to point you to something I found wrong. I admit I was angry a bit at the moment and saw you panic and accidentally resulting in the pepper splashing onto your face.”
Commenting on the matter on Ghana Yensom hosted by Chief Jerry Forson on Accra100.5FM on Monday 6 March, Brigadier Nunoo-Mensah said: “If I were the one in charge of the state when this happened, I would have killed somebody. I mean it, I would have killed somebody. How can this happen to anybody at all? When you listen to the story you realise that this is not the first time it has happened in the same company.
“It should never have happened. Just because of a few cedis you want to kill somebody’s daughter. This is happening in Ghana because we have allowed ourselves to be treated like that. It could not have happened a few years ago when I was starting my life in Nkrumah's Ghana, it could never had happened. I have lived in several countries. I was in Britain for 10 years, even there I would deal with the police officer because I knew my rights; you can’t do this to me.”

That is the life of the Lebanese ,that treat people like ***barred word*** but it's not their fault it because can is free for any foreigner we will sack them all to go back to their war country ,
The same NDC gutter talk. John Mahama said a similar thing at a suggestion of giving out his daughter out for marriage or so. This absurd and extremist mentality of NDC people must stop. Nunoo Mensah is a waste! Worse things happened while he was in office yet he said NOTHING about it. He should take his passport and "gerrout"! Such irritant!!
Wasn't he in the ndc government and a security capo when a Chinese urinated for his worker to drink? They are all part of it. Even Gen. Acheampong wouldn't tolerate such brutalities,he sent away a Lebanese who spat on the ground and forced a Ghanaian to lick it. These Arabs have been cruel to Ghanaians for long, some impregnated our women and abandoned them such is Yamin and they are maltreating Ghanaians who went to Lebanon for greener pastures and since the ndc government didn't bother about those Ghanaians being treated badly even some losing their lives they think we are slaves and can do whatever with nobody doing nothing to them. Our request to the police is to let the laws of the country work irrespective of who you are, they should send the guy to court and if convicted after serving his sentence the immigration should show him the exit. That will put some fears in their respective governments and they will take good care of Africans working in their countries. Africa is the only continent they will feel comfortable with because the west are not all that for them and there is danger in their Arab countries so they need to be told they can't send their jihad to Ghana. His name depicts his intention and must leave Ghana. That was a dress rehearsal for his brutish intention, HE MUST GO HOME.
Ghanaians are indeed hypocrites and sometimes too emotional. In as much I don't support the guys behaviour and condemn it, let's not forget that hundreds of such behaviour and even worst happens in our homes everyday, and the sad part is it is happening to children especially those who lives with adopted parents. Folks, let's channel the same emotion and anger to our authorities who have neglected their duties to protect the vulnerable in society everywhere in Ghana.
YOU ARE VERY RIGHT. I Don't know his immigration status but this Guy and his Boss who have been defending Him should be declared PERSONA NON GTRATA and get him out of Ghana tonite. We need to listen to People like you. It will not happen under Osagyefo Kwame Inkumah.
So the restaurant is still operational? So the JIHAD super whatever is still in Ghana? Eating? God forgive me but i agree with General Nunu Mensah. Jihad does not simply deserves democracy; he acted like any ***barred word*** of prey in the forest and deserves to be thrown in to fight and stay with ***barred word***.s. I feel so sad about this story that i dont know how to describe it. Sweetheart, sorry about that. Anywhere i will meet this Jihad, i feel like i will slap him to face any consequences.
Take your passport and leave
To teach the owners a lesson, Ghanaians who patronize the restaurant should boycott their patronization. That's one of the tools Black Americans used during the fight for civil rights. This is not the first incident in Ghana. I remember reading about Chinese giving urine to Ghanaian employee to drink as a punishment. One Chinese let his dog bit an employee. Is time to rise up. Not in our own country.Ye noa ne sen na abene
There is rule of law in Ghana. The Lebanese guy deserves his day in court. This coup mentality does not belong in Ghana in this Era. If there were enough Ghanaian entrepreneurs, it would not take a Lebanese to open a common restaurant for Ghanaians to get jobs and be treated like slaves 60 years after independence. When you were the chief of staff, what did you do to all the Chinese bosses who were beating Ghanaians?
SHUT YOUR MOUTH YOU COULD'NT DO ANYTHING IF YOU WERE THE PRESIDENT.WHERE YOU NOT A SENIOR OFFICER SALUTING A JUNIOR OFFICER IN NERO RAWLINGS TIME?. ONLY TIME WILL TELL TO GET YOU LOT OUT OF THE SYSTEM.
