The Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei-Mensah has stated that he is yet to receive requested documents covering operations of Exton Cubic Group Limited at its bauxite concession at Nyinanhini.
The Minister, weeks ago seized equipment belonging to Engineers and Planners (E&P) which has been subcontracted by Exton Cubic Group arguing that he was not properly briefed about their operations in the area which is under his jurisdiction.
He vowed not to return the equipment to E&P owned by Ibrahim Mahama, brother of former President John Dramani Mahama until he receives documents from the Lands and Natural Resources Minister Peter Amewu.
Speaking on Abusua FM’s Abusua Nkommo hosted by Kwame Adinkra, he said he was not interested in the series of demonstrations and talks against him insisting that he will release the equipment if he gets the documents.
"I still haven’t received the documents I requested, so I am not bothered about either demonstrations or press conferences. Until I receive the documents, I am not releasing the equipment until I get the documents I am asking for. If they provide the documents today, we will talk, until then, they can forget it," he stated.
He said he is not moved by the Chiefs of Nyinanhini’s declaration of support for Ibrahim Mahama to continue to mine because is their son.
"I am from Bosomtwe, does it mean the Lake is mine?, I rest my case," he said.

When did Ibrahim became an Nkawie indigene? This ahenfo who are not royals but bought their way to the heir are destroying our nation. Ibrahim ' s father is from Bole and mother from Ketu north,he is a nephew to Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe so how did he come from Nkawie? Or he came to lie for the land? I smell John Mahama's deal. I don't know if Ruby Gyamfi aka Nayele Ametefe his girlfriend comes from that area. Ghana ahenfo bi nom are disgraceful. Most of them have lost their senses but I do know one qualification to be a chief is wisdom and our elders new the difference between wisdom and knowledge so chose wisdom over knowledge, according to them education do not make a ***barred word*** automatic with wisdom so royals with wisdom were abstained from going to school, since these educated chiefs took control of our chieftancy ,that institution has become an eye sore. A lot of fo*ls with education have bought their way to be by force royals and inheriting what doesn't belong to them so don't know the customs and trading and rules of the land. I'm in fact strictly against educated people being installed as chiefs and kings, they are all corrupt through school and classmates and don't respect the uneducated elders of the stools who know the rules and traditions. KING MAKERS MUST STOP COLLECTING BRIBES AND INSTALLING WRONG PEOPLE ON THE STOOL after all it is the indigenes who will suffer through their bad actions. Our ancestors were uneducated but preserved our lands from infidels the whites, this 21st century educated chiefs and Kings are all thi*ves and liars.
Your too known is calling for a dismissal from the president. You would be sacked very soon for your stubbornness. You can't keep disrespecting your other colleagues in government the way you are doing. You be the next after Quaittoo resigned.
the documents are currently being prepared at nogokpo shrine. It is left for the juju man to let a goat with 3 testicles urinate on it first, and then it will be ready for witch to use a flying gogomi to deliver it to you. But the spare tire has a puncture so they will come to kumasi in the belly of a tilapia.
This company is just trying to front for some unknown mining giants. Are they still prospecting or at the development stage(Mining)
i am very disappointed in the new nkawiehene for holding a press conference in support of exton cubic. what kind of chief does he want to be nana nkawiehene, a stomach chief eh?. he has really lowered his credentials and respect in the society. how much money did this greedy ibrahim guy pay to him to let him hold a press conference, which has effectively brought the nkawie stool into disrespect?
BOSS PLEASE CONFISCATE THE MACHINES IF THEY ARE NOT BRINGING THEM.
So when are they going to provide the documents. evene if they had sent it through Kak dee to walk the documents to Kumasi, wouldnt he be at Ejisu by now? # I am from Ghana #Flagstaff house in not mine
The Chiefs can be bought to compremise their responsibility. Don't mind them. They have taken Money and what have you.
STOMACH CHIEFS TAKE THIS KNOWLEDGE. WHO BUILT KUMASI-BIBIANI ROAD? ***barred word*** Bauxite is a mineral which can be exploited after you have conducted intensive feasibility study on the project to determine (1) the quantity on the ground (2) the method of mining (3) method of transporting to coastline for shipment and (4) the financial modelling to determine the viability of the project. Unlike gold, bauxite cannot be processed on Site, it has to be transported to a harbour built purposely for bauxite Shipment. The condition of the current Kumasi – Accra road cannot be used for transporting bauxite to the coastline for shipment. So why mining bauxite. As I speak, a courseway is being built into the sea in Guinea for mining and shipment of bauxite. That is proper planning. Just imagine how Akwatia bauxite is being transported from Akwatia to Takoradi, destroying the very road Government has used our taxes to build. Akwatia was designed to transport using the rail system but look at the mess going on now. The Government share in Akwatia cannot be enough to build that road so you see Ghana is losing. The investor who will be chosen to mine the bauxite should have capacity and money to build railway from Kumasi to Accra for bauxite shipment and also for public use. So we need to take our time to do things right and stop rushing to destroy the very mineral God has given to Ghana. Our ministers should seek for technical knowledge before giving our minerals to so called investors so that Ghana could benefit.
