Host of Kokrokoo on Peace FM, Kwami Sefa Kayi has advised Defence Minister Dominic Nitiwul not to descend into “dirty politics”.
The Defence Minister, at a press meeting on Thursday, addressed the former first family demanding them to vacate their residence as it was sited on a Military land.
He further decried what he termed as poor handling of matters relating to the Armed Forces, claiming the land belonging to the Military had been shared among government officials of the previous administration.
"…I am talking about the former President, John Mahama. I will say no more, but I am very disturbed about this. It is happening in Tamale, it is happening in Takoradi and Lands Commission is colluding to do that. People in Lands Commission were selling Armed Forces lands. Not under this watch, that cannot happen any longer, and anybody who decides to encroach on Armed Forces lands should leave. It is not in your interest. I am sorry; but that is the truth that we did not manage the Armed Forces lands very well," he said.
But Mr. Sefa Kayi has cautioned Hon. Nitiwul to be careful about the way and manner he conducts himself as Minister of Defence.
He advised him not to forget that “power is transient”.
Mr. Sefa Kayi noted that Hon. Nitiwul delivered a superb speech at the press meeting but lost his admiration when he began to pick on former President John Mahama and his family concerning the Military land.
"I try to be as honest as i can, i've my flaws like any other man. Please let's tell Dominic Nitiwul that power is transient, he should remember that. I listened to his press conference....beautiful press conference and then he introduced John Mahama into the element about some land issue and he messed up everything. He should cast his mind back, i don't want to talk much. If i meet Nitiwul, i'll tell him that he should have it at the back of his mind that he'll not be in power forever," the ace broadcaster stated.
Meanwhile, the office of the former President has described Minister’s allegations as iiresponsible and reckless, stating emphatically that Mr. Mahama and his family do not own any Military land as purported by Hon. Nitiwul.
“We presume that the minister’s irresponsible claim is in respect of the current residence of the former first family. President Mahama has not appropriated or acquired any land or property belonging to the military and which he is currently occupying”.
Aide to the Former President, Joyce Bawah Mogtari revealed that the former first family currently resides in a residential estate developed by a private real estate development company.
“It is sad that the minister with oversight responsibility over our men and women in uniform, who risk their lives to preserve the security of our nation, would descend into the gutter and dabble in propaganda of the most undesirable kind. This behaviour falls short of the requirements of a Defence Minister whose office calls for sobriety and reflection”, she added.

Mr. Sefa-Kayi, as an Ayigbe man everybody knows that you have always been a closet NDC Sympathiser; always and deliberately giving space to NPP detractors. like Kwesi Pratt and Allotey Jacobs, to lance unimpeded verbal swings at President Akuffo-Addo, as you hypocritically pretend that you are impartial. I dont even know what words which must be used, decorously, to paint your pathetic and disgusting image of shambolic journalism. Are you in your right mind and have you got your warped wits about you? Mahama is nothing but a heartless goon who murdered Mills to become President, with the sole purpose of ***barred word*** the state coffers for the benefit of his friends, like you, and his family, like Ibrahim!!!Word is even around that as Mills had been bludgeoned by Bukom Banku and was bleeding, Mahama didnt seem bothered when a senior civil servant alerted him that Mils was in a very bad way, as he pretended to be unaware and continued to chair a meeting. Mahama, a presumptious and highly pretentious character, who would never have become President, but for the despicable plot which was hatched to assassinate Mills. The bell tolls for all who have defended Mahama for their selfish and stomach interest. He, Mahama, himself, is walking on thin ice but deludes himself that he is skating. Heis being exposed for what he really is and woe betide all cheap and greedy journalsts who defend him shamelessly, claiming they are for God and country. Sefa_Kayi, will your God support the brazen expropriation of state properties for kith. kin and friends, including you, Iam reliably informed. Be careful, as you spit out words like power is transient. Journalistic power of the radio is equally transient like political power and so you must not delude yourself that you will not account for your selfish, self-centred and self-righteous position on the capricious use use of power ro grab and reap where one has not sown. What is good for Nitiwul is also good for Kwame Sefa-Kayi. Think carefully before you expose your aaarse over flames; you can sustain irreparable first degree burns which might disfigure you and your already dented image for life, and no plastic surgeon can save you from the shame and opprobium which will come with the damage!!!!
Politicians are very very wicked. They care less about the masses. Why sell state lands to yourselves, politicians. Nitiwul, you are on the right path. It is quite nauseating for a former Prez and his ministers to buy state lands acquired from poor traditional people, meant for national purpose. Nitiwul is right to be emotional; It tells me he abhors corruption and will always do the right thing. Any right thinking person will be offended when he/she discovers such rot. Kwame, let's have our cherished peace. I still like you. How will you feel kwame, if you later discovered one of your donated incubators in a private clinic? That is what we are complaining about. The white colour ***barred word*** is too much and must stop!
But people should know where Kwame sefa kayi is coming from. He has always been an ndc sympathizer. I wonder why people have not found him out by his body language when conducting political interviews. He is a fake and pretends a lot. I have weighed him and found him to be very light. The problem is that many Ghanaians are not deep thinking enough to size this guy correctly.
Kwame Eeee, not only POWER IS Transient;Life is equally as such. What is wrong is wrong,Ex President and so what? First ask, is he in possession of Government Land? That is most important and not your subjective statements. In Ghana we abn*orm*ally pamper our so called Leaders(to me Rulers)WHERE DO THEY LEAD US TO? Please keep your un*necess*ary utterances out in this issue and never try to please Greedy people in the Society, else you will lose most of your teeming admirers including me. Mahama is just a greedy b*as*tar*d.
I am disappointed in you very much ! Why have you stood so low to be insulted ! Next time be intelligent !!!
Sefa this one you're wrong come again.its our property
Shame on you Kwame Sofa.
Kwami Sefa Kayi, is it true that you also acquired land in that area and that is where you now live?
Mr. Kwami Sefa Kayi, you are right to say power is transient. Indeed, power is transient and that is why when you get the opportunity to wield it, you must use it in the interest of the people, and by that, leave a legacy to be remembered by. You are complaining because your friend,John Mahama, has been brought into public view for allegedly appropriating military land on to himself. I believe you did not hear of J. A. Kufuor and others being brought to the public light for similar appropriation (or misappropriation) even though those allegations turned out to be untrue. You are obviously hurt because John Mahama's wrongdoing in this regard has been brought into the open. Indeed power is transient and therefore tell your friend John Mahama and his likes, that if they ever get the opportunity to wield power again, they should use it in the interest of the people and not use it for their personal gains and also the interests of their family and friends.
TELL ME WHETHER THE MINISTER IS WRONG OR RIGHT? YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT CHOICE OF WORDS BUT CHECK YOUR WORDS. YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY JOURNALIST IN GHANA, PEOPLE KNOW MORE THAN YOU CLAIM TO BE.
