The Managing Editor of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Kweku Baako Jnr has asked state authorities to put the Asomdwee Park in shape.
The state of the 'Asomdwe Park' is nothing to write home about as it is being consumed by weeds and waste.
Maintenance of 'Asomdwe Park', the resting place of late President Professor John Evans Atta Mills who died 7 years ago seems to be a major challenge and this has become a worry to the family and some Ghanaians.
Reports emerged that the family has threatened to exhume the body of the late former President for reburial if the state refuse to honour the upkeep of the 'Asomdwe Park'.
However, Kweku Baako feels the family should allow him to rest in peace and rather urged the state to fix it.
"We should allow him to rest but we should also fix that place. While we are celebrating his life, going forward we should do certain things right so that we will not be talking about the same thing again during the eight anniversary," he said on Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo'.

FIX WHAT? WHAT ALL IS WRONG WITH OUR LEADERS. AFTER PAYING MILLS AS THE FIRST CITIZEN OF THE LAND, WHY AGAIN SHOULD THE NATION CONTINUE TO SPEND MONEY ON THE SO CALLED ASOMDWE PARK? DID HE NOT BELONG TO A FAMILY? WHO INHERITED MILLS PROPERTIES. GHANA MUST GET SERIOUS FOR ONCE. CITIZENS CANNOT ACCESS MEDICAL CARE, HAVE FOOD ON THEIR TABLE ETC. ETC. AND YOU SAY WHAT? WHY? WHY? WHY?
What was the need to create the so called Asomdwee Park? It was a needless waste of state resources. Past Heads of State apart from Kwame Nkrumah have been buried in their hometowns without any problems. Even Kwame Nkrumah was buried at Nkroful before the re burial at the current place. There was abosulutely no need for the creation of this burial ground. The late Atta Mills could have been buried at the Military Cemetery having died as the Commander in Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces. Today the likes of Kofi Annan and Paa Kwasi Amissah Arthur have been buried at a state sponsored Military Cemetery and not at a Politically induced burial ground called the 'Asomdwee Park'. Statesmen deserve State recognition and not Political Press Ups.
this is very disgusting, what is wrong with Ghanaian? this location can even serve as an income for the country
