Three Ghanaians have reportedly been injured in South Africa’s renewed xenophobic attacks.
The attacks on foreign nationals started on Thursday, August 29, 2019.
According to a release from the Foreign Ministry in Accra, the Ghana Mission in Pretoria, South Africa, has recorded three injuries.
It said the Mission is ensuring that the injured Ghanaians receive the necessary medical attention.
The statement added that “our Mission further reports that on 5th September, 2019, the South African Security Agencies commenced an exercise to check the resident permits of foreigners residing in Sunnyside, a suburb of Pretoria.”
