The Municipal Chief Executive for New Juaben South Municipal Assembly in Koforidua, Isaac Apaw Gyasi has vowed to deal ‘drastically’ with two police officers captured in a video ‘torturing’ an accused person at their station.
The officers, identified as General Sergeant Patrick Amoako and General Lance Corporal Isaac Marfo were seen beating up a handcuffed Aglebe Dodzi, who was arrested for alleged theft.
Speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’, Isaac Apaw Gyasi said their act is “unacceptable” and must be condemned by all.
“I was extremely sad upon seeing the video. It is not in the interest of the police to unleash such beatings on an accused person. We will deal with them,” he said.
