President Akufo Addo will on Tuesday, 28th January 2020 commission the over 300 ambulances purchased for emergency health care delivery in the country.
This is in fulfillment of ‘one district, one ambulance’ promise made by the ruling government.
This means by close of day, Tuesday, all 275 constituencies would have received an ambulance each to take care of emergency cases.
However, one may ask why government purchased over 300 ambulances when there are only 275 constituencies.
Giving further explanation on this, Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah said the "extra ambulances will serve as backups for the regional and national headquarters of the ambulance service as well as centres close to critical roads in the country".
