A fourth coronavirus related death has reportedly been recorded in Ghana’s capital, Accra.
The figure for confirmed cases in the country, however, still stands at 68.
Though the latest piece of unfortunate news is yet to be confirmed by the Ghana Health Service, an international research organisation that tracks the situation in the country, Worldometer, has published it on its website.
Worldometer had earlier published on its portal that confirmed cases in Ghana has shot up to 93.
Earlier on Wednesday, March 25, Ghana recorded its third coronavirus death.
The third death had occurred at the 37 Military Hospital and involved the wife of a two-star general, officials of the Ghana Health Service had announced.
The sudden spike in case incidence is as a result of the mandatory quarantine and compulsory testing for all travellers entering Ghana, as directed by the President.

One Patient Recovers
Meanwhile, a Chinese national who contracted the novel Coronavirus and was part of the 65 active cases recorded in Ghana has recovered fully.
Reports received indicates that the patient was one of the few people who flew into the country in the early stages of the outbreak in Ghana.
After showing the symptoms, he was quarantined and tested positive for COVID-19 pandemic.
"After a few days of treatment at the Atonsu Agogo Hospital in the Ashanti Region, he showed remarkable improvement," the report stated further.
According to reliable sources, the patient walked out of the medical facility on Wednesday after being certified clean of the virulent infection after several tests showed he was negative.
Details of his recovery is yet to be given by the Ghana Health Service.

It seems Ghana health services rather confirms from the news when they should be the agency giving us timely updates! When the cases shot up to 63 it took almost 9 hrs for them to update their website and this is not acceptable! timeliness is key and they need to up their game!
I just checked at worldometer and it stands at 68 so where from the 93.please stop spreading fear.
I am particularly concerned that such articles are being published by trusted media outlets in this country. Under the present circumstances, fake news abound. Let's err on the side of caution when it comes to our choice of publications on this critical subject. That worldometer has allegedly published these numbers does not make them final. Last time i checked, worldometer was not the first point of call on Ghana's COVID-19 figures. And i am certain that has not changed. Let's not jump the gun. Besides, worldometer.info still puts Ghana's figures at 68 so which worldometer is putting the 93 out there? Guys, we have to recognize that these are desperate times embedded with massive fear and panic. Our role as citizens and especially the fourth arm is not to inflame the panic with rush publications that lack substance.
Please ooo peace fm, do not loose your credibility, I will speak for myself and I will say I am not gullible to just take your news hook line and sinker. As at 5.25am today 26/03/2020 we only have 68 confirmed cases based on the website you quoted from. Please check your facts well before you publish. @GEMFI, much as I believe some people will be trying to do this to cause fear and panic as you trying to say, this disease does not and will not kill only NPP or only opponents of the NDC but all People. I do not believe if this will be true
Worldometer site as of 4GMT 26.3.2020 has 68 cases not 93. Please check your facts
President, not bold enough to lockdown . Very soon he will face the consequences. Lockdown now ,at least you will save life's . The way we are going , people will die like birds with bird flu . How many ventilators do we have in the country . Think broadly , life's are important than economic factors . Once life is gain back ,one can regain his economic status . At this point wish we had a military ruler, this dull move will cost life's.
Name: Eben Please this warning is going to all Ghanaians . anyone who read this comment Should please help me to spread it to many Ghanaians and if possible to Authorities and the security to take Strong action about this. I am not a prophet or investigator but what ever God reveals to me is for real. The Lord reveals to my spirit that some very powerful and wicked leaders of NDC Political Party have gotten hold of the Corona virus from infected persons and Are doing everything possible to infect many people in Accra and Kumasi by way of conterminating food, drinks and fruits on the street and at some hospitals to cause fear and panic so that the whole nation will demand the government to extend the ban on public isolation So that the electoral commission can not proceeds with the new voters ID card or the will not be enough time to make the registration. Please I know people will insult me but I will advice people not Eat any cold food without heating the food to be very warm and if possible people should Avoid fruits in the Street for the time been and also they should not visit hospitals they are not sure of their safety. My Kindness advice to government is to lock down the country and ask every body to stay home and eat at home. Now the security should monitor the activities of the NDC corona virus team because not all of the team members but some among them are part of this evil plot . Am done lets he or she Who love his or her life share and take this warning serious or they can trust politicians and risk their life for their desperation of power.
PeaceFM are you sure of this information? Have you verified for GHS? You were the same people who published that 8 people had recovered in Ghana and your source was Worldometer --- and it turned out to be lies. Have you not learnt?
The solution to this problem is prayer and massive deployment of our troops to help beef up the contact tracing. By so doing we can effectively curb the spread and flatten the curb. This is the time to make use of our military other than holding them for emergency purpose only. The country can go on partial lockdown and i do not think Ghanaians are fully prepared for full lockdown.
