The disinfection of markets in Kumasi and parts of the Ashanti Region begins today March 27, 2020.
The exercise, which started in the Greater Accra Region earlier this week, forms part of Government’s efforts to prevent the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Ghana.
Traders, shop owners and leaders of various trader groups have already pledged to comply with the directive to close their shops to allow for an effective exercise.
Hon. Eric Nana Agyemang-Prempeh, Director-General of NADMO with his team led the exercise providing logistical and technical support for the disinfection of Markets in the Region.
He was in the company of Hon. Collins Augustine Ntim , Deputy Minister for Local Government, Hon. Osei Assibey Antwi , Mayor of Kumasi , Lawyer Henry Nana Boayke, National Youth Organizer of the ruling NPP, MDCE’s and Staff, The Military , Other Security Agencies and NADMO Staff.
