The New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Upper West Akim constituency, Fredrick Obeng Adom, has donated items worth GHc70, 000 to constituents as part of efforts to help fight the coronavirus outbreak.
The items donated include Veronica buckets, sanitizers, boxes of tissue paper, and gallons of liquid soap.
The quantity of Veronica buckets donated were 120 with 12,000 pieces of sanitizers, 250 boxes of tissue paper, and 250 4.5 litre gallons of liquid soap.
The parliamentary candidate said the donation forms part of his awareness to prevent the spread of the virus.
He encouraged the constituents to adhere strictly to the safety measure put in place to prevent the spread of the virus.
The items were distributed among 26 CHP Compounds, the Police, the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU), some selected markets, communities and homes.
The beneficiaries commended the candidate for his kind gesture and promised to put to use the items donated.
