Kwasi Adjei-Boateng, Deputy Minister of Local Government and Rural Development and other residents of Asokore in the New Juaben Municipal District of the Eastern Region on Wednesday had to run for their dear lives as a swarm of bees attacked.
The Deputy Minister who doubles as the Member of Parliament for New Juaben North and other leaders of the Community including Chiefs were at a ceremony to hand over a Community Centre to a contractor for upgrade into a storey building office facility.
A report filed by Michael Akrofi, Peace FM eastern regional correspondent said four people have been admitted at St. Joseph hospital.
The bees according to the report, flew from beehives in the ceiling of the Community Center.
The Deputy Minister and MCE however escaped unhurt.
Calm has currently been restored in the community after a spraying exercise.
