Ghana's COVID-19 case count has passed the 12,000 mark.
The case count now stands at 12, 193 after 229 new cases of Coronavirus, according to the Ghana Health Service (GHS).
The number of recoveries stands at 4,326 and death toll, 58.
This brings the total number of active cases to 7,813.
Dr. Patrick Kumah-Aboagye, Director-General of GHS, speaking at a press briefing said majority of the new cases were from the Ashanti Region.
The new cases were recorded from nine out of the 16 regions:
Ashanti Region – 70
Central Region - 42
Savannah Region – 34
Greater Accra – 32
Western Region – 17
Eastern Region - 11
Volta Region – 11
Upper West Region - 10
Oti Region - 2
