COVID-19 Tracker, an app for tracking COVID-19 cases was launched in April 2020.
Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia speaking at the launch of the app said: “As the President has said, our approach in combatting the COVID-19 is driven by science and data. In this regard, data is the most powerful weapon in our fight against COVID-19. You cannot fight what you cannot see. We cannot be groping in the dark. The data will point us in the right direction.”
However, months after the launch not much has been heard about it.
Speaking to this, Minister of Communication, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful has said the app is very much active and that it is now being upgraded to offer more services.
