An Accra High Court, under Justice Ruby Aryeetey, has restrained conveners of the ''Fix The Country'' protest from embarking on a demonstration scheduled on Sunday, May 9.
The court ruling follows an affidavit filed by the Police against the conveners.
The Police action is pursuant to Section 1(6) of the Public Order Act, 1944 (491).
According to the court writ, the conveners, their associates and all parties interested in taking the protest march are ''prohibited from embarking on any demonstration on Sunday, 9th May, 2021 or any other date until the restriction on public gathering is lifted by the appropriate authority''.

SSSTUPIDITY. GOING DEMO AND ***barred word*** ONE IN THE MIST OF COVID. GO TO SEE WHAT IS HAPPENING IN INDIA, DONT KILL OUR PEOPLE WITH YOU SENSELESSSSSSS LIFE IN THE NAME OF POLITICS.
I bemoan the manner how the opposition party politicking is practiced here in Ghana. I think, the NDC in particular leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to the people of Ghana wishing to know the alternative better approach to solving issues of a direful national interest. There is simply too much propaganda and lies aimed only at dragging the ruling party in baseless politics. To make the Government look bad so as to gain political advantage. The trigger of all these noises of protestation was the exaggerated culture of silence speech of Sir Sam Jonah. And clearly, the NDC does nothing better than simply capitalizing on it for a hopeless political gain. Forgetting that the people of Ghana had reached the political age and could make their own enlightened views. With time this kind of deceitful politicking is going to be irrelevant and counterproductive, working against the NDC. And the NDC is doomed to remain in opposition and extinct forever.
