The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Henry Quartey on Tuesday, led a team of security personnel to pull down illegal structures in Accra in a bid to decongest the city.
Speaking in an interaction with Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM morning show 'Kokrokoo', Wednesday, the Minister who doubles as the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso Central Constituency said a team of close to 800 security personnel helped in the initiative tagged ‘‘Let's Make Accra Work’’.
"The exercise wasn't a demolition; I want to correct that because saying a demolition is like just destroying structures. We were getting rid of illegal structures" he added.

Is it so hard for our governments, whether NDC or NPP to use something called common sense to simply monitor and prevent the springing up of illegal structures. Why do they ALWAYS wait for the structures to become notorious and ubiquitous before doing something about it? Is it not easier to nip these things in the bud? Is it that black people are generally s-t-u-p-!-d and therefore cannot manage modern cities and countries?
