Namibia has stopped giving second Covid-19 vaccine doses to prioritize those who are yet to receive their first jabs as supplies dwindle.
The health ministry said it will redistribute its remaining Covid-19 vaccine stock to areas with increased virus cases and fatalities.
The ministry said those due for their second dose will only be vaccinated in July when new stocks arrive.
The Namibian news site reported that the country had run out of the China-made Sinopharm vaccine.
The health ministry said it was expecting AstraZeneca doses in July through the Covax scheme.
