Professor Kofi Agyekum has advised workers in the country to check their attitude at work.
Speaking to Nana Yaw Kesseh on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" show, the Head of Linguistics of the University of Ghana, Professor Kofi Agyekum, popularly referred to as Opanyin Agyekum, asked workers to be diligent.
He expressed disgust at the way and manner some workers wander around at their workplaces, hence urging them to be serious with work.
"The attitude of some of us towards work is not encouraging. It doesn't please God. Sometimes, you will go to an office and find the female workers doing makeup and frolicking and the guys also fidgeting with their beard, you ask yourself did these people come to work or not? So, as we hope for government to make our living conditions better, we should also resolve to serve efficiently," he said.

Chief these behavior does not happen in private institutions . Sir it all in government sectors ,bad attitude to work , corruption , greed ,right things are not done but they know the right things to do , lazy and unprofessional workers because they are brought in by Party,. Opanyin look at the Executive and the people around the government , most use the position for personnel gains . The gov. is only concern of the factors and not the product (end results ) . If all CEO of gov. sectors are hired base on interview and given task , and all employees work with KPI method this country will go far. We should not rush in changing government but first push for changings in laws and policies . IGP, Chief Justice ,AUDITOR GENERAL head etc should not be appointed by Government .
