Jehovah�s Witnesses would begin a series of conventions in 26 cities and towns throughout the country with the theme: �Let God�s Kingdom Come� based on Jesus� model prayer.
The first two conventions, which would be held in Accra in November, will feature bible talks that reveal that God�s Kingdom was a real government in heaven ready to take active control of the earth�s management to mankind�s eternal benefit.
A release issued to the Ghana News Agency in Accra on Friday said �copious biblical statements will be cited to reveal how this kingdom will effect dramatic changes on this earth and why individuals need to submit to God�s Kingdom and its appointed ruler, Christ Jesus.�
It said more than 5000 convention delegates are expected to attend each of the nine conventions in the Accra �Tema-Metropolis at the Accra Assembly Hall of the Witnesses at Baatsona, Nungua off Spintex Road.�Similar conventions will be at New Gbawe, Obuasi, Oda, Takoradi, Suhum, Swedru, Mankesssim, Nyanyano, Koforidua, Sunayani, Tamale, Nkawkaw, Kade, Bawia, Cape Coast, Mampong-Ashanti, Tarkwa and Sefwi Bekwai, the release said.
It said: �The programme will be held in English, Dangbe, Ewe,Frafra, Ga, Nzema, Twi and also in the American Sign Language.� Morning session for the convention programme would begin at 9:20am each day and afternoon sessions are expected to begin at 1: 50 pm on Friday, 1 : 35, on Saturday and 1 : 30pm on Sunday.
The release said on Friday of the convention, a keynote address under the theme �Who are Preaching the Good News of the Kingdom?� would be delivered to set the tone for the entire convention adding that the high point of the convention would feature a public discourse on: �Will Human Ruin the Earth?�
The release said �the public is invited to attend any of the conventions to be held in their locality and admission is free.�
Jehovah�s Witnesses who number more than seven million, are active in 236 lands and islands including Ghana.
In 2010, they spent a total number of 1,604,764,248 hours to teach people how to read and write, live exemplary lives, be useful to their family, community and society they live in and above all to serve their Creator, Jehovah.
