At the just concluded Shiloh 2017, General Overseer of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo shared his views on tithing which has been a trending topic for weeks on end.
He was speaking about increasing your faith level as a believer and towards the end, he spoke about tithing which is the way God can open the windows of heaven in a man’s life.

Regarding tithing please argue against it, for as long as Malachi book has not been rewritten let none trade it away God’s command in our generation of people full of argument without fear of God. It is understandable many preachers and priests use the bible for their personal gains. This notwithstanding has engendered the current debate and argument about tithing. But please do not trade Heaven away and say if you lose it let it be. You have to strive to go to heaven even with one eye gorged out please. Don’t say “THAT BE IT TO HEAVEN”. For the day you will realise you have missed it your regret can never be reversed. Rather err on the right side of the bible by being obedient towards tithing. You don’t go to heaven alone by means of tithing though. Let them who exploit God’s word for their personal gains continue in their trade: for the day of reckoning is already nigh! But as for you love God; give both to the poor and response to God’s word with fear and reverence. It is a fact that life is now hard to live and so doing the right thing for God is a challenge but please do it: for your labour will never be in vain. Also make sure you belong to the right church and let the judgement be for God. The truth shall never fade away! It shall prevail eventually. Once a ***barred word*** looked at the Jesus picture in a piece of news paper (at Ahenema Kokoben), he picked to clean up himself, and immediately he shouted “Krakye wo nie, Krakye merentumi mfa wo ne!” (I cannot use you as toilet tissue) Learn a lesson (reverence fear of God) from the respect this insane person had for God, and do just what the bible requires of you. And wait!! Lovely brother
Revisit your bible mr pastor
I would rather give to the poor than enrich you and your .... If in doing that I will not be welcome to heaven then that be it. Nuff, nuff.
