The main branch of the Perez Chapel International has rescheduled its reopening date because of the ongoing voter registration exercise.
The Perez Dome, located in Dzorwulu, Accra, had planned to begin congregating for worship from Sunday, July 5.
However, a statement signed by its senior pastor, Bishop Charles Agyinasare, they explained that the rescheduling is to allow members of the church to participate in the ongoing voter registration exercise.
The statement added that the church will reopen after the registration exercise.
They also urged members to partake in the exercise.
EC compiling new voter register
The Electoral Commission (EC) on Tuesday, June 30, began the compilation of a new voters’ register for the presidential and parliamentary elections in December 2020.
The exercise is being held at various centres and district offices of the EC throughout the country.

DEAR PASTORS WISE UP. THE RESTRICTIONS DOES NOT DO AKUFO ADDO ANY GOOD. IT IS INTENDED FOR YOUR OWN GOOD. WHEN YOU OBSERVE THEM YOU PROTECT YOURSELVES AND YOUR CONGREGATION. SOME PASTORS WHO ARE WISE AND RESPONSIBLE DO MORE RESTRICTIONS THAN AKUFO ADDO HAS DIRECTED. YOU DON'T NEED TWO HOUR IN PRAYERS BEFORE GOD CAN HEAR YOU. COD IS USING COVIS-19 TO TELL YOU FAKE PASTORS THAT YOU MUST ALL CHANGE. IF YOU HAD TWO HOURS CHURCH SERVICE YOU MUST CHANGE TO MAKE IT ONE. IT IS A PRACTICE YOU SHOULD KEEP EVEN IF WE GET OUT OF THE COVID-19. YOU DON'T DO GOD ANY GOOD FOR YOUR LONG SERVICE. RATHER YOU WASTE THE PRECIOUS TIME GOD HAS GIVEN TO YOU TO SERVE YOUR NEIGHBOR BY THE GOOD THINGS YOU DO FOR THEM .
