To ensure an environmentally conscious society for a sustainable future, the Zoomlion and Jospong Group of Companies have set up foundation with the mission to inculcate a culture of sound environmental sanitation practices in school children.
At the launch of the Zoomlion Foundation, the Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Nana Oye Lithur, called on institutions and individuals to assist government in eliminating factors that obstruct the development of young ones in Ghana.
The minister commended Zoomlion and the Jospong Group of Companies for setting up the foundation and noted that children ought to be educated in the area of environmental sanitation.
She added that “as the minister for children, the welfare of kids is of much paramount to me, and we must therefore work hard to eradicate factors that hinder the development of child.
We must therefore support Zoomlion’s Foundation with its basic and primary focus of creating Zoom Kids to provide support for activities for children in the area of sanitation.”
Nana Oye added that “this is an excellent way of sustaining and managing our environment because our children will teach our future generation and younger siblings as they grow.
But very importantly you as children will inculcate the values and habits of keeping good sanitation practices.”

The National Coordinator of Zoomlion Foundation, Mrs. Sarah Kyei also called on all stakeholders in the health sector, collaborators and development partners in the areas of WASH, to collaborate with the foundation to achieve the goals of providing supports for environmental sanitation management, educational support and healthcare care support.
Zoomlion Foundation provides grants towards payment of fees for brilliant but needy students in Senior High Schools and Tertiary Institutions.
