The NDC�s Commitment to Social Democracy was amply demonstrated today in the remote village of Kwao Larbie, in the Central Region, where in this 21st Century children learn under palm-branches.
School pupils of the Kwao Larbie Village were full of smiles as the First Lady of Ghana; Mrs. Ernestina Naadu Mills, officially launched the Government �school compound�.
All the pupils in the school, the Anglican Primary School, were each freely presented with a new school uniforms. They divested off their old attire and immediately donned the beautiful uniform.
There is hope for the village as reliable source of Information indicates that the Anglican Church is in the process of constructing a modern school at Kwao Larbie.
"School Uniforms"
The First Lady, Naadu Mills, who launched the programme today at Kwao Larbie, said government would extend free school uniforms to other public schools. He said government will continue to distribute free exercise books to pupils in order to keep poor children in school, so that they do not turn out to be drop-outs.
�The �Better Ghana� which was promised by the National Democratic Congress (NDC), is being pursued vigorously,� she stated.
Kwao Larbie is near Ghana�s Football super star, Michael Essien�s hometown-Awutu.
