Citi News sources have disclosed that the staff union of the Tema Oil Refinery has written to its Board of Directors demanding the immediate dismissal of the Managing Director Dr Kwame Ampofo.
The union is baffled by the Refinery’s continuous lifting of finished products rather than crude. The workers also say they are disappointed in Dr Ampofo over his failure to ensure that there is enough crude at the Refinery at any one time.
The workers, according to sources are also raising questions over the whereabouts of some vehicles, spare parts and some other equipment imported by TOR for the staff.
