Government on Thursday reminded the general public that Wednesday, August 31, which marks Eid-Ul-Fitr has been declared a Statutory Public Holiday.
A statement issued by Dr Benjamin Kunbuor, Minister of the Interior in Accra said the day should be observed as such throughout the country.
Eid-Ul-Fitr is a holiday marking the end of Ramadan, the month of fasting, which is one of the greatest religious observance in Islam.
