Kofi Appau, a farmer who bit the testicles of a friend, has been remanded in Police custody by a Magistrate�s Court at Akim Oda. The court presided over by Mr Albert Owusu Annor refused to take the accused person�s plea and would reappear on September 9.
Detective Police Chief Inspector Kwadwo Ahenkorah said the complainant, Mr Kwesi Asiedu, owns a beer bar and together with the accused live in the same vicinity at Akim Asene in the Birim Central Municipality.
He said on August 21, Appau and his wife went to buy �akpeteshie� local gin from Mr Asiedu and after drinking the beverage they asked him to give them his empty sacks, but Mr Asiedu hesitated saying it was rather late.
Chief Inspector Ahenkorah said the accused did not take the reply kindly and became offended. He then jumped on the complainant, beat him mercilessly and bit his testicles.A report was made to the Police who arrested Appau.
