The four suspects arrested for possessing human parts have been provisionally charged with murder and remanded in prison custody by the Half Assini District Court in the Jomoro District in the Western Region.
The suspects, Juliet Nyamekeh, 23, Charles K. Asante, 30, Ebenezer Osei Yaw, 26, and Kwasi Dickson, 26, are to reappear in court on January 5, 2012.
They were arrested while attempting to sell the human parts of an unidentified person suspected to have been killed in the Eastern Region and transported to the Western Region for sale.
The four told the police that the person was killed by another person in a town called Assunantem, near Nkawkaw, and they only took various parts of the body for sale.
They, however, did not mention the name of the killers of the victim.
The police are currently following the leads to apprehend the other perpetrators.
