About 150 National Service Personnel in the Kasena-Nankana East District of the Upper East region of Ghana are threatening to embark on strike if their January allowances are not paid.
Speaking with Citi News, the president of the group, Mr. Azazigene said they are tired of waiting and are demanding the immediate payment of their money.
It is the general delay of monthly salary; it is not only this month, every time our allowance delays before we get it. So we want that addressed, he said.
He said there was a lack of concern by the top hierarchy about their welfare especially in their region which makes life in the Upper East region very difficult.
