Ghanas Parliament will rise on Friday for a three-month-long break.
The vacation will give contractors the avenue to renovate the Chamber Block room to reconfigure the floor of the law-making House.
Officials say the planned reconfiguration has become necessary following the recent increase in the number of seats in the House from 230 to 275 seats.
The increase in the number of seats in the chamber has led to what some MPs have repeatedly called overcrowding, resulting in some lawmakers falling off their chairs during proceedings.
It is hoped that on completion, the reconfigured Chamber of Parliament will sit all 275 MPs comfortably. The House is expected to reconvene in October.
