Properties worth millions of Ghana cedis have been razed down by fire at the Kumasi Central market.
The fire is reported to have started around 12:30am at the cosmetics, shoe making and jewelry section of the market.
As at the time peacefmonline.com got to the scene, over 90 to 100 shops had been razed down.
Personnel from the region were seen earnestly fighting the fire though access to the market was difficult.
The Ashanti Regional fire officer, Mr.Philip Arhin Mensah said the cause of the fire is not known as they are yet to begin investigations.
Meanwhile,the Kumasi metropolitan Chief Executive is yet to visit the market.
This is the second time the market has been engulfed by fire this year.
