The Director of Public Relations of the Ghana Army, Col. Mbawine Atitande has rejected claims that the woman who was arrested for posing as a nurse at the hospital is a baby thief.
According to the Director of Public Relations of the Ghana Army, Col. Mbawine Atitande rumors that the nurse had tried to steal babies from the maternity ward is completely false.
A woman who posed as a nurse at the 37 Military Hospital was arrested on suspicion of attempting to steal a baby at the Maternity Ward.
The suspect, who identified herself as Beatrice Gyasi, a resident of Klagon in Accra, was seen at the Maternity Ward playing with babies while their mothers were asleep.
But speaking to Citi News, Col. Atitande stated that Security in the hospital is not a problem, and I dont think the lady was there to steal babies.
According to him, employees at the hospital thought the lady was a thief since she was not an employee of the hospital but was just loitering and playing with babies.
