Philanthropy, according to Kofi Wayo, is still in motion and for the latest; the big-hearted politician is dashing exercise books, branded with his name and effigy, to school children around the country.
�Kofi Wayo exercise books are currently being spread around schools in the country, especially rural Ghana, for the benefit of the needy school child.
With an effigy, portrayed in the form of him wearing his trademark cowboy hat, sun glasses and khaki military shirt occupying the background of the front cover, the branding completes with the writing that the book is donated by Kofi Wayo.
On the same front cover of the book, a rallying call to the cause of the child, �Help the Child,� is boldly inscribed in italics.
Mr. Wayo tells The 'Enquirer' that 300,000 of the Kofi Wayo exercise books are in print and that he has begun dashing them to school children in rural Ghana. He said, the free exercise books idea is meant as a token to support the education of Ghana�s future leaders.
The �Kofi Wayo exercise books� is a new dimension to ongoing philanthropy that has been up to for a long time now.
The plain-talking politician has so far distributed over 300,000 cutlasses freely to farmers in rural Ghana to help them with their farming.
Mr. Wayo has also freely distributed insecticides, spraying machines and other farming implements, including corn planting machines to farmers.
In the background of the national effort to eliminate malaria, Wayo has waged his own small war on mosquitoes with the free distribution of mosquito nets to villagers around the country.
Last year, the politician singlehandedly built a market for Kofi Pare in the Eastern Region and started a kindergarten school block for the people of Akakpo Kope in the Volta region.
Mr. Wayo also helped thousands with their school fees and others with medical bills they could not afford to pay.
In all his philanthropic endeavors, he has operated with one motto: �Service to man, is service to God.�
