34th Annual Technology Exhibition
The 34th Annual Technology Exhibition of the Kristo Asafo Group comes off on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at the Apostle Safo School of Arts and Sciences in Accra.
Instituted in 1983, it is expected that the annual programme will be used to showcase the amazing inventions by Apostle Dr Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, Founder of the Kristo Asafo Group.
This year’s exhibition has been touted as one of a kind, in that Apostle Safo Kantanka will be exhibiting a brand new vehicle known as the Kantanka ring car.
With this particular car, the driver will only need a specialised-made ring won on any of the finger to start the car.
The occasion will also be used to display a newly manufactured police and military armoured vehicle by Apostle Safo-Kantanka.
An electronic vehicle which operates without an engine will also be on display for public view on the day.
Other range of vehicles to displayed
Other range of Kantanka vehicles, electrical and electronic items manufactured by the Kristo Asafo Group and its founder will all be on display.
During the 33rd edition, Kantanka Otumfo, a 4×4 vehicle powered by a Kantanka V8 engine ignited by a walking stick was exhibited.

Chairman for the programme will be Dr Osei Darkwa, President of the Ghana Technology University (GTUC).
Capability of the African
He indicated that there had been tremendous improvement in the previous fairs.
Commenting on the convictions of the founder, Mr Bempah said he (Apostle Safo) believed that the African was capable of manning his or her own affairs.
He observed that there was the need for the continent to devote a lot of attention to technology, adding that “this is what the founder believes can relieve the African continent from its major challenges.”
Over the years, the Apostle Safo Technology Centre has collaborated with educational institutions such as the Kumasi Polytechnic and the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT) to train students and prepare them for the job market.
Currently, the centre is giving free training to 550 Ghanaians.
2015 launch of vehicles
Mr Bempah stated that with the acquisition of the new assembling plant, the Kantanka Automobile Company had gained the permission to produce vehicles in large quantities for sale, and dismissed public perceptions about the fact that the vehicles did not meet international standards.
He said all the newly manufactured vehicles had undergone evaluation by the appropriate authorities which meets international standards.
He, therefore, stated that by January 2015, variety of vehicles such as Kantanka pick-ups, salon cars and suv’s manufactured by Kantanka Automobile Company would officially be released onto the Ghanaian market for sale.
