A prayer marathon to seek the face of God to intervene in Ghana’s economic fortunes is expected to be held on Wednesday, Republic Day.

The program is under the theme, “Overturning National Crisis”.

National Association of Christian and Charismatic Churches (NACCC) and the Prayer Summit International, organizers of the program are entreating all Ghanaians to join at the various prayer centres to petition heaven concerning Ghana’s economic crisis.

Rev. Christy Doe Tetteh, Founder of Solid Rock Chapel International and a member of NACCC says “this prayer marathon is an emergency and it’s a serious matter….we can pretend that all is well…but all is not well. Prayer is the air we breathe, prayer is talking to God”

She was speaking on the Joy FM’s Christian Talk show ‘A Walk With Jesus’ on Sunday.

Rev. Doe Tetteh states that “the kind of signals we are picking in the realms of the spirit…we don’t want to sit down and calamity will befall us again. So we believe that the Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams and the leadership of NACCC have seen right and therefore it’s proper for us to instead of going to the beach on the 1st of July, we’ll rather congregate and pray for our country because of the things that are happening”.

She said the prayers which would be held simultaneously across the county “are necessary because what happened on 3rd June was just a wakeup call”.

The member of NACCC says “Now, we have heard that by the 1st of July, there’ll be another incident.”

Rev. Tetteh therefore entreated every Ghanaian to join hands to pray because she believes “The people in authority committing all kinds of atrocities, they are not bigger than God. God will arrest them through these our marathon prayers on the first of July and many more.”

Apostle Nii Amponsah, Board member of NACCC and the immediate past Secretary of the group, Emmanuel Ansah were also on the program.

Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, Bishop Dag Heward Mills, Rev. Robert Ampiah Kwofie, Rev. Steve Mensah, Rev. Victor Osei and other members of the National Association of Charismatic and Christian Churches will all lead strategic prayers to revive Ghana’s economy.
