Ghanaian workers at the construction site of the Kejetia Terminal have laid down tools in protest against what they described as bad conditions of service and threat from management.
According to them, management has consistently shifted the goal post in connection with their migration from casual workers to permanent staff and has refused to allow them to form a union.
The workers, numbering over 700, brought work at the project site to a standstill.
Most of them havegathered in clusters, ostensibly discussing the way forward, while a few could be seen to be engaged in minor works.
