The Judicial Service has informed the general public that there would be a ceremony to mark the opening of the Criminal Session, also known as the Criminal Assizes on Monday, November 23, at the forecourt of the Law Court Complex.
In a release issued to the Ghana News Agency on Wednesday in Accra, it said in view of this, the forecourt would not be opened for parking of vehicles in the morning of that day.
The criminal session, formerly known as the criminal assizes, is a trial by a presiding judge and jury on more serious criminal cases which by law, could not be tried by a judge alone.
The Judicial Service, therefore, appealed to all users of the Law Court Complex to kindly take note of the directive and comply accordingly.
